About the Teachers

Sandy Collins is the owner and lead teacher for the child care. Sandy has her Bachelors in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Maryland and her Masters in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She holds a current teaching license in the state of Oregon with endorsements in early childhood, and special education. Prior to opening the child care, Sandy taught as a special education teacher in elementary settings, was an Autism Specialist in TTSD, and the Response to Intervention for GBSD. Although Sandy enjoyed training teachers and administrators, she missed the connection with children and families. Sandy set up and started a preschool for a local church, and after two years she knew that she wanted to open something that she could call her own.
